Well here i am again anyway i had it running only to quit on me down the road upon further visual i noticed it was cranking a little slow when warmed up so ichecked my timming and well its off so i pulled the valve cover off and tensioner and alligned cams at least i thought it seemslike every time  i get the marks lined up and start to torque the cams down it moves on me but when i turn them to where the  holes line up on the cams the pointer on the pickup coil is just a little off anyone know the best way to set the timming on this i have been working on this thing since i got it i am at my wits end thanks.

Adjustable cam sprockets from Randy. I have the same problem, the chain stretches over time and can no longer be timed perfectly but it should not have things far enough out to dramatically alter performance. However, slotted cam sprockets will get things back to spec.

Sorry, but this post is just unreadable.

What work have you done to the engine that you are advancing the timing?
There are many tuning steps before timing. IMHO.

The 1100's run pretty smooth through the RPM's with the standard cams and timing. I think it even runs better than the 1200's, breathingwise.
I would stick with the original camsprockets and timing.
You're just putting more stress on the engine with little gain (again IMHO)

Well i finally got it the timming and got it running. Now im back to the main issue which is the carbs. Hopee you notice my periods, i mean you have that to read; anyway the carbs still leak but i found some other ones i hope to get soon, no i did not upgrade the cams they are stock its been a while since i have work on a bike i am a certified auto tech so it comes natural but my bike is running; so basically i was more than  frustrated.
