But at least its a ride.  Left MD on the FJR yesterday at 0430. Got to Evansville, IN last night at abou 1830 EDT. In time for a nice dinner. Couldn't ask for better weather. Heading to Kansas City today for work for the week. May try and iron butt it back.

If you swing close to Cincinnati on the return trip let me know and I will buy you a cup of coffee, and possibly ride along for a few miles.

Thanks Bill.  I think we'll be heading back on I64, thru Louisville, trying to do a Saddlesore 1000.  Not sure if that will be successful.  My wife wants me hope asap.  If we head that way, I'll give you a call or send you an email.

We'll try and leave early, maybe 0430 or 0500.  Not sure when that would put us in Louisville.  I'll give you a call from a fuel stop.  Or if we stop for lunch somewhere in that neighborhood.  Haven't looked at the route in detail, as far as the timing goes.  I'll be with a guy on an Beemer LT.

Well, we had a successful SaddleSore 1000 ride home on friday.  Left Kansas City at 0430 local time.  Got home at 0100 saturday local time.  Almost 18 hrs on the road, with less than 2 hrs of stopped time.  1163 miles total.  Dodged storms the entire ride, with a 5 min downpour in WV.  Also dodged some of IL's finest shooting radar on an overpass.  Guy I was riding with on a Beemer had a mirror shake loose, and we just happened to pull off on that exit.  Got back on the road and there were three chasers that pulled over most of the people we had been passing.  One was a trike.

FJR performed flawlessly.  Butt was getting a bit sore by WV/VA.
