Drag Race "Testing" in Hungary

A couple weeks ago I showed up for 1/4 mile "testing" at a drag track named Kunmadaras about 100 miles east of Budapest. I drove the FJ there. They do things a LOT different here than in the U.S. I showed up, had my bike inspected, and I got registered as a racer all in about 5 minutes. Then the track manager (who thankfully spoke English) led me up to the front of the line as other riders lined up to wait in both lanes. I told him I knew the basics, but asked if he had any other advice. He said, "Be careful, and don't brake hard at the end - you have 2 full kilometers." Cool. Try doing THAT in the U.S.!

Here are a couple videos that the track manager recorded for me. I know I didn't do everything right, but this was my first time at a track. A 2.96 reaction time is pretty good for my third run, right? My best time was 12.25 @ 114 MPH. I had a GREAT time. On the way back home on the Hungarian "Autobahn," I held the old FJ at 100 MPH for a FEW HOURS. That's a rush.

This guy on the Kawasaki wanted a re-match. When you line up, the tree lights up for both lanes simultaneously, so it really turned into a race. I beat the guy the first time, then he made sure he was lined up with me again. He beat me that last time, though.
