85 FJ1100 backfires some but then runs well .. Any ideas ?

I just tried to order twice and was denied.

The error report returned by the server was:
(27) The transaction has been declined because of an AVS mismatch. The address provided does not match billing address of cardholder.

Scott, if I were you, I'd call your bank, and soon.  AVS = Address Verification System.  This *may* be fraud.  One trick fraudsters do fairly often is to change your card billing address so you will not receive notifications via mail.  If there does not seem to be any fraud, check with them as to the EXACT address they have as your billing address.  They may have it wrong or you may have typed it incorrectly.

FYI.

I had the exact some error report when trying to buy from Randy from Australia.  It's not fraud, but my money did spend a week or two in cyberspace before returning to my account.

Im not woried just frustrated I dont like to enter all my info to some 2nd party billing system.
I tried calling this morning and all I got was a recording so I tried an email and am waiting on a reply.If I dont hear back my only other option would be to stop payment at the bank which I dont want to have to do.

      After it all, the AVS system was working as it should. The card billing info was different than the shipping info entered thus declining the transaction.

The AVS system is designed to protect the consumer as well as the seller against credit card fraud in case your C/C info is used be someone unauthorized.

With the help of his bank and my C/C processor the transaction was completed and all is well that end well.

Just goes to show how well things can go when you have a stand-up guy on the other end...

justgastanks.com had several hundred dollars of mine tied up for about a week last year, simply because the owner was a dick... when there was a glitch with his system, he claimed it was a problem with my bank, and refused to release the funds, instead just waiting until the hold timed out.
