May I have the regular menu, please.

Went over to the neighborhood pub for beer, food, & football.

Not even sure what kind of sauce would got with it... probably like Foster's, for export only.      :bad:

I don't know about the 'Roo, but Elk is GREAT meat..... good flavor, lower in fat than beef, and did I say  it tastes good?  Give it a try , be adventurous!   :drinks:

Had some really great Elk Jerky a few months back.  Better than beef by a long shot.

Roo's not bad, quite gamey though... you just gotta find one that hasn't been sitting on the side of the road for more than a few days or the damn Crows pluck out all the good bits like the eyes and testicles...

Kangaroo is great - if cooked right
Wallaby is really a nice meet as well
Crocodile is a cross between fish and chicken
Snake is sort of similar.. and is good too
Emu is a bike gamy red bird meat
Eaten a few kinds of venison that are feral out here in Oz
Goat is good as well
Ive tried American Bison.. and love it

Id really like to try Elk
Havent tried horse, dog, cat or camel - not really wanting too

Hahha!
If any of you have regularly eaten hamburger in America over the last 20 years, you have definitely eaten Kangaroo.

I probably will try the elk next time (their food is usually pretty good), but I don't think the 'roo is for me.

Wish you knew which one, I can be anywhere downtown in 10-15 minutes.  Surely you didn't go to Dick's Bodacious BBQ... I know how you loathe the chain stores.

yep, that was it.  it was good, despite being a chain (i wasn't expecting a mom and pop shack in the middle of downtown indy).  there's a decent franchise barbecue joint here in cincinnati and columbus called city barbecue.  good stuff.

I've not been to that location, but I have been to the one in Broad Ripple.  I thought it was decent BBQ for a chain type place, and a lot better than Smoky Bones.  There's a City Barbecue location about 10 minutes from here, but I've not tried it yet.
