Okay so a few weeks ago I asked about a full fairing for the bike and was told on a bike that is air cooled full fairing was not a good idea. So now I am fishing for some new fresh ones.

What I basically want to accomplish is cover the area where the side scoops are supposed to be and the frame of the bike will still showing off the beauty of the engine.

So what I thought of doing was getting a fairing and modifying it. Basically take a fairing that runs down from where the side scoop is supposed to be that still leaves the engine open to air. it would run down the frame and connect with the bottom belly pan. while it runs down the side frame behind the forks it would "rip". In other words have pieces that jut out (these pieces when modified would hopefully channel air to the engine. I cant really explain the idea I have in mind but when I feel confident about my drawing skills I will try post a picture of the idea.

Anything is possible but not everything is practical. Like I said I am fishing for ideas and I dont really want to put a full fairing on the bike but rather just cover up the frame.

Looking forward to what Ideas I can get

I have an Fj1100 with a full fairing conversion. Basically replaces the bellypan and covers up the engine.
I cannot think of the make at the moment will have to take a look.
It's a Uk manufacturer.
I bought the bike partly because this was fitted.
I cannot comment on how hot it runs but its been fitted to my bike for over 2 years.
It's still running!
PM me and i will send you an image.
