I'm working with a retired Hungarian Air Force member, who actually attained the highest enlisted rank. Most of you know that I'm retired U.S. Air Force. Well, we went to a meeting today at a Hungarian Air Base. Near the building was an old MiG 23 fighter jet on display. He patted me on the the shoulder and pointing at the jet, he said, "I used to be the crew chief on that aircraft. You know... back when we were enemies."
That's a strange feeling. I just said, "Yeah, I remember." :pardon:

Jeeps ! That's creepy mate. That's a thought that nobody else on this site would be in a position to think about.

First flight in the world of a privately owned MiG-29!!!

Dan Filetti

Back in 1999 and 2000, a buddy of a neighbor of mine had/ still has? a MIG something-or-other.  He used to circle his house at really low altitude.  I thought for sure that he was circling my house for some odd reason -that was until my neighbor clued me in...  which of course made more sense.

The fly-bys stopped completely after 9-11
