Who'se going to be the first to fit Big Piston Forks to an FJ?

There is a great write-up on the new Big Piston Forks in the April issue of SuperBike -a Brit M/C rag I read.   The article compares, in depth, how both the cartridge forks and Big Piston Forks work.  Article detail include how they both work and their advantages disadvantages.   Good exploded pictures, in various stages of disassembly and all that.  In truth, it was a really good education on both types, as they were sort of a mystery to me anyway....

Net net, the new 'big' pistons are in fact bigger than their cartridge counterparts in that they ride up against the staunchion -as apposed the the inside of the cartridge -which eliminate the need for a cartridge apparently.  Interestingly, it's the staunchion that moves rather than the piston.  The new BPF's are supposed to be simpler, therefore lighter, with more of the mass down low, resulting in less unsprung weight, and greater mass centralization, both big buzz words in M/C R&D over the last few years.

They are only available on the '09 GIXXER thou, and the ZX6, but the article predicts they'll be as prevalent as radially mounted break calipers in a very short period of time -we'll see.

So I wonder, who's going to break the FJ's BPF cherry?

Any takers?
