10,000 vintage sport/race bike lovers and not an FJ in sight... We really need to do something about that.

Work has been keeping me extremely busy this year, not to mention working with the AMA team, so I really haven't been riding much this year. Last weekend the stars aligned and I was able to head up to the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Day races. I had a blast running my trusty YZF in the 90's supersport class all weekend and while my finish was disappointing (6th in both races) I had a blast. The weather was definitely not in our favor with temps hitting triple digits and thunderstorm looming overhead (The new management has declared the track as a dry track until paving upgrades are made) but I don't think I quit smiling all weekend. I did manage to pick up 4 seconds a lap over my best times for last year and had a few good battles so its all good. Here is a pic that appeared in the Mansfield Ohio that I am just a little proud of...

Next year I plan to run both 90's era classes (90'sss -600cc, 90's sbk 750+cc) and hope to do really well as I now have an in with the Mid-O coaching staff. (Not to mention a few bucks to spend on a little more power...

But back to the real subject. Where are those big bad FJ's? The class they run in is mostly Hondas and Kawsaki's! Somebody needs to bring one out to play. Hell put one together and I will ride it...

What sayeth the group, Can we let the Kwaks, Honduhs and Suzi's steal ALL the Glory?

thats a great picture amd not so bad finish for the races.... i mean ... i bet all the guys in front of you weighed less than you .... not saying you're fat but you do have big bones for a 600cc motorcycle

It was very hot and humid. I did not see any FJ's there either.

Bill must have a heavy head, cos the number is on his helmet too........or is that so the rider can be identified from the air.....

Well done Bill

Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.
