Well they think they know whats wrong with my knee, Rheumatiod arthitis of the knee. :bad::shout: fuck
(that explains how I've been feeling)  :bad:  Anyone else have this, ANYONE.  :dash2:

They say genetics is why, so my wife and mother can't blame the bikes this time.
I sure hope I can work/ride around this, or (am I too old to ride anymore) maybe calling my name.

Time will tell, till then almost time for the NEFJR,   I'll :drinks: if I can't ride but I'll be there.

That sucks Bob. My Grandmother and her sister both had it.  I wish I know what to tell you.  Hopefully it is slow to develop.  There is a lot of information out there, so do your research and find the best doctor you can.

I feel your...never mind.  Not Rheumatoid but degenerative arthritis in my right hip. It causes some (sharp) pain now and then at a stop when I and have to lift my foot back up on the foot peg. Very uncomfortable at times. I try to keep my foot on the peg so as to not move it. Medication helps.

When it flares up I sometimes ease my foot back up by standing up with my good left leg to gain height so I don't have to lift the right so much. This helps.

Hey weymouth, Don`t let it worry ya, :empathy: I got it in the left knee from an old motorbike injury. (snapped off a bit of knuckle behind the knee - didn`t really hurt till the missus kicked me in bed that night for racing my brother-in-law when I was supposed to be helping him build my house) - now got it in the shoulders, back and fingers (not cause she put up a helluva fight :diablo:) - but due to genetics (they tell me).
Anyhow I discovered the Royal Adelaide hospital had an Arthritus research dept (They have since renamed it the preventative health dept) and they fixed it. - Don`t even have the slightest ache anywhere  :yahoo:- (1000klms in the saddle no prob). The secret lies in fish oil. - No I don`t mean those useless plastic capsuls with a bit in it. It`s to do with Quantity, Quality and how you take it.(that reminds me :scratch_one-s_head: - We got a 40th anniversary in October -I digress) I got a lot of mates on to it and it works for them too. (not all that expensive either)- Fish Oil that is. :good:  Doug

Cherry extract has also been proven to be good for that.  But Glucocomine(spelling) Chondritond(spelling) is good to take.  Taking some natural supplements plus a little isolation exercise should keep you fit as a fiddle.  :good:

I've got really bad knee's and I take a natural supplement called Leaf Source and I swear by it. Both of my knee"s need to be replaced, but the Dr. won"t do them until I retire because I am a truck driver and haul logs for a living. Getting back to the supplement, I started out by taking 4 a day 2morning and 2 at suppertime for the first two weeks and then 1morning and 1 suppertime after that. I found the difference almost amazing. I don"t know if you can get this in the states, but I think most health stores carry it. Good luck with your knee'. Big R :yahoo: :good:
