Hi all, im impressed with all the fj info here, and was wondering is it possible to use later model ignition coils 89 1200 on an 84 fj11 as they are rated different in the manuals (ohms) , if so are there any benefits or not worth changing,
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

FJ111200

Hello there.
I've used XJ900, 600 and 11 and 1200 on my various FJ's and not noticed any difference in performance.
But, WTFDIK  :yahoo: I suppose technically they should not be interchanged, but hey ho.

No worries, just thought they may provide a better spark, might give the relay/coil mod a go, . .thanks mate cheers rod
