1985 FJ1100, I just bought a used relay to replace the one in the upper left fairing, is it normal for it to only function in the upright position ? also I have noticed that the diode block gets pretty hot, should I replace that too ?

fj11.5

Never noticed mine getting hot on the 84 model, but have had problems with the plug and wiring going to it, after trying a couple of the relays they were not the problem, , press starter oil light came on and thats it ,
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it
