How do I get a 8 galllon tank for my 87 fj 1200? I need one , we all need one!

Pat Conlon

Bungee a 2.5 gallon can on your tailpiece. Seriously, we had a FJ member who ran in the Iron Butt rallies, he had a 5 gal. fuel cell on the back of his FJ.

Sorry I missed your intro and earlier posts Jason(?)  Did you know that you can get a free 1986 owners manual here?

I believe he is talking about the custom tank that TeeCee had fabbed up for his FJ..... he lives in Australia so i think he actually did "need" the extra range....the FJ really drinks the go juice when the throttle is twisted to the stops

I used to run the slab between LA and San Jose to see my kids (80 MPH or so). I got 38 MPG at best. Now I get 50+ tooling around in the hills at 60 MPH and less on a stock 86 FJ. The gas is cheep, the tires.....not so cheep. KoooKalooo is priceless!!! How you run will affect your consumption...
