Has anyone here tried doing this? I appreciate the Feedbacks.  :good2:

I remember it being discussed here before, but a quick search pulled up nothing.

IMO it's not worth it.  :nea:  The minimal gain of power and the loss of cutting the spark plug life shorter is not a good trade off.  Maybe if I was racing or something, but on a daily driver I wouldn't bother.  Just my opinion, of course.
Do not argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Probably a smaller gain than indexing plugs would be.  If you're really riding the limits with a power adder or fairly wild motor, you might find bigger gains.

SIde gap plugs are for high end racing engines that have alot of compression, forced induction, ton of fuel moving through them etc. etc. Stuff that is maximum performance and at wide open throttle for most of the engines life.

Stock or performance type road applications don't need that type of plug. Anything other then the regular old plug style is a gimmic and waste of money (split fire etc etc).
Yea there are lots of "advertisement" articles out there but rest assured you would pissing money away.

The technical facts are that, yes, a side gap will change gap spec over time since there is less area for the spark to wear the contact surfaces then a traditional gap. As the side and center elctrode erodes over time the gap will open up quicker. That is why they were meant for racing only, not thousands of miles of road time.
