The orange thing I saw when looking underneath my bike. There is some oil around the area too which concerns me.

Karl..... I believe that is the oil level sender/sensor. It has a rubber o-rig to seal it - probably that o-ring needs replacing.

Those bolts look like 1/4 20 not 6mm, they also don't look tight. :sorry:

Quarter inch diameter by 20 pitch count bolt.

6 millimeter bolt is what it came from Yamaha with.

Looks like someone has already been there, thats probably why it leaks. They stripped the threads and didn't fix them to original specs.

Looks like some JB Weld to the right of the sender too.
May want to check it out. If it has that much damage, just replace it.
they're cheap second hand in good condition.
