hi
Hi, welcome to the club. Telling us more about your self will elicit more energy and responses from our fellow club members. What FJ do you have, What other bikes do you currently own? Bikes previously owned? That kind of stuff....We are a friendly bunch till you get to know us, then your fair game for the occasional jab to the ribs. Keep the non-FJ stuff in the correct places and remember to search the files for answers before posting questions. There is a boat load of good info here and tons of clever FJ modifiers to fix any real issues with any year FJ. That said...what can you tell us?

Monkey,

For starters I am gonna bet he has the following bikes;

2010 Ultra Classic
1996 Buell S1
1985 FJ1100
2008 DRZ400

From that list I surmise he rides a lot and loves vibration... :greeting:

Not sure on the poll though. I voted for the FJ out of team spirit.

Yes the list above is what I own and ride,although my FJ has been in storage since 2006 and took her out the other day cleaned the carbs fresh oil, bled the clutch and breaks all went well.Until I fired her up got the air screws set and idle around 850-900 not sure of the factory setting,but now it wont suck fuel into the carb lines just enough to keep it running with throttle opened up,fuel lines have very little fuel in them as its runs,could the fuel floats be stuck any help would be great,oh yah i all so rebuilt the fuel peacock.
Thanks jkstx450

You said you cleaned the carbs, then you asked if the floats could be stuck.  Did you take the float bowls off and clean EVERY passage?  I would guess that you need to clean the carbs a bit more thoroughly - they can get pretty gunked up sitting for 5 years...

jkstx450

Yes i did take the bowels off and did a total disassemble will remove them tonight and do a bit more cleaning.
It did run nice when i set the air screws and idle,but when i came back to the bike a few hours later fuel was on the ground and the tank was empty, so I put a couple of gallons in the tank and now i am having the problem as described in my post.
Thanks

Carbs need more work.Gas on the floor would be the floats not set right.

My powers of observation are dismal at best, I did not see the poll...... Hope my powers improve before my next ride.... Must from the overwhelming amount of snow we had last week. Brain is still frozen...... That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!!
