Raising front wheel off ground

Someone recently posted a picture of a timber stand that fitted under the frame rails to raise the front wheel off the ground, requiring removal of the lower fairing . I have been using a bottle jack on the lug in front of the drain plug  for years without a problem (weekly for cleaning and occasional maintenance) and it doesn't require removing the lower fairing.

I did the same for many years, then got a front track stand for use with a Ducati(good excuse) I was fixing for my brother.... I got one that fits a peg into the steering stem, and has different sized inserts. It works a LOT better.
