Welcome, sounds like you've hit the ground running here (and are ahead of many mod wise). Is that 192 rwhp on the FJ? Woohoo!!

No unfortunately its a BMWs1000rr i cannot remember what the FJ made with the flatslides and big bore ,cams have been welded and regound wasnt much around in 1984 for performance ,we gained heaps by slotting the cam sprocket bolt holes, ran 9.8 qtr back in 1985 with MRE air shifter and we extended the swingarm 6 inches, forgotten how many times 2nd gear has been rebuilt, fitted up some 17 inch wheels running a 180 on the rear, did a roadtrip once 14500 klm in 5 weeks great bike for touring and drag racing

Welcome to the group mate!

There are several of us who have replaced the front end...... USD YZF750s or FZ1 gen1 seem the post popular, but a few other options are represented here.

I have FZ1 front and rear. Have not done anything to the motor yet, bar the external mods of exhaust, carb jetting, Uni dual-pod filters, Dyna2000 ignition. One day when I wear the engine out it will be getting a few more horses.

Cheers

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
