Doh! Which way do the valve springs go back in?

I plan on putting my cylinder head back together today, but I left my manual at work and I don't remember which way the valve springs go back onto the head.  I think I remember that the ends of the springs that have the more tightly wound coils go down (as in toward the head, not up towards the retainer).  Is this right?  Thanks.

Nevermind.  I found my manual.  I was correct.
