Emissions Removal

For all of you that have removed your California emissions stuff from your bikes, what did you do with evaporative emission hose located at the bottom front of your gas tank?
Can you just plug it off?

I have a 1992 non-California FJ but it must have a California tank on it because it does have a 3' piece of open hose connected to an insert fitting going into the tank front.
