I put a bar kit on my FJ 6 or 7 years ago and I still have not solved my mirror problem.
I have read of using CBR ? mirrors? Has anyone tried the extendable mirror sold by slikdesignusa?
An ad in cycleworld has the website as <www.extendze.us>. They have a nice looking mirror that when collapsed is  2.75 inches between base and mirror housing and fully extended has 6 inches between base and mirror housing. I like the collapsing feature because I have to fit four bikes in a small space and I tend to bump the right mirror against the wall. Long story, small garage.

Your garage may not seem so small if you didn't have 4 bikes.  (popcorn)
I haven't seen them mirrors before, they do look pretty cool.

But if all you see in them is cops.........................do you really want them?

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

That is a great idea and looks like a good product.  However, I'm going to have a hard time (pun intended) buying anything called 'Extenze'  They've been trying to sell me their product on early morning TV for 2 years now.

Mark,
What makes you think they're talking to you?

$150 for a set of mirrors....I don't like them that much.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Thanks for your feedback. I know $150 is a lot for a pair of mirrors especially when there are some that might work for a fifth of the price. If I thought they would be great...I'd do it. I just hate to gamble. I have a pair of Dellorto PHF36's on my shelf from an earlier experiment.

Simi_Ed has an 89 and he put CBR mirrors on, they look good and show less elbow. You have to modify the FJ mirror bases to accept the CBR stalks and you get to keep the stock covered bases. I need to make custom bases to fit the CBR mirrors on my 86 so I need to get off my lazy ass and design them.
