Right.... on the underside of the headlight fairing at the front, there's a plastic insert / cover.
Unscrew it an remove it.
Pop your fingers up through the gap and have a feel around...... if you get bitten, then you've got a Leprechaun infestation.
They like to sit there because it's kept warm by the headlight, and the rattling is the profits in their pockets from recovering pots of gold from the ends of rainbows.
Getting rid of the little bearded bastards can be tough, but can be done with a box of Lucky Charms  and some Guiness
Lucky charms can be hard to find, but they can be bought here :

Once you get all the ingredients, you need to wait for a dry day - they are notoriously fickle little shits, and will only come out when it's not raining.
Fill a cereal bowl with lucky charms and pour on the guiness.Might be worth making a set of steps out of matchboxes so they can reach. They are pretty fast moving, so you need to slow them down a bit - this is where the cereal and booze comes in.Once they've eaten and drunk their fill, they'll be very fat and a bit pissed.Wait until they're staggering back towards the bike....... and smash the shit out of them with a large, flat shovel.
Replace the plastic cover on the top fairing, making sure that you do not overtighten the fasteners.
