I'll start it off.....
This was me 15 years ago on my 1983 XZ550RK "Vision"  (wish I had that much hair still)







Newer pictures of your "Alternate" machines are ok too......

Hey, I had a Vision also, an 86 with only a single front disk and no fairing.  Had an aftermarket pipe on in that could set off car alarms.  Great bike, until of packed up and quick on the clutch saved my ass.

I have the obligatory FJ (it's ugly, but I love her anyway).

1971 Yamaha AS3 125cc 2 stroke twin.  Yes, that is snow in the background.

198? Suzuki GSX400X grey import from Japan.  4 cylinder, oil, air and water cooled.  Cylinders are air cooled, the head is water cooled, and the undersides of the pistons are oil cooled.  Pretty fun little bike.

Hiding in the garage is a 1983 Yamaha Seca 400 in bits and pieces.  I had one of these as my first streetbike, I bought another in 1996.  Used to tour on it.

Here's one of my Gs1000S from 25years ago.Loved that bike.No speed camera's,great Scottish twisty roads and a cool mullet hidden under the Bell Star.

Here's the alternate bike. A much hacked about Z900a4.Mine for 13years and many miles.I save a fortune on oil with the "replacement" engine!

Don't have pictures of my 79/81 XS400 frankenbike.  Terrible condition, so isn't worth the trouble.

Got some of the 75 KZ400 that I picked up for the wife, though.  Isn't in terrible shape, for all of 11k on the clock.

Well, for me it started out in 1974 with a Rupp mini bike that my grandfather replaced the OE motor with a 5HP Sears and Roebuck, way overkill for that bike! LOL!


Then in 1975 I got a brand new Honda XR-75, and I loved riding that bike, and learned alot on it!


Then in the fall of 1981 I bought my first brand new street bike, a 1982 750 Virago.
Rode it for just one year and traded it for a 1979 Trans Am.





And then by 1985 I was ready to start riding again and bought a 'still new", in the box, 1982 GS1100L.
Had a bad wreck on it in 1987, rebuilt in 1988, and still ride it to this day, although it has sat alot since buying my FJ!





And then there is my dads all original 1960 Triumph has gave to me a couple of years ago, and actually the very first motorcycle I ever rode on, with him driving!
I'm thinking about putting it intothe National Motorcycle museum at some point.

Too bad you didn't every have a GS1100, it has been one of my favorites over the years and very proud of the fact that everytime one of my HArley riding friends challenges me to a speed contest, all I do is end up showing them my tail light to their dismay! It's a wonderful thing! LOL!

Had a buddy Russel, that used to wheelie the hell out of that bike. [EDIT: the GS1100]  He'd occasionally ride it to school and at the end of the day, he'd inevitable leave the back wheel butted up against a speed bump, and light it up.  He would slowly allow the bike to creep over the speed bump and then starting with the decent down the other side, he'd slowly gain speed all the while spinning the back wheel.

I thought that was about the coolest thing ever.  Everyone thought he would die on that thing, and yet, he's still very much alive selling insurance of all things...  From what I'm to understand he still rides, although I think I heard he went to the dark side (Hardleys).

Nice to reminisce.
