Hi All.

Took Roseanne ('87 FJ1200) out for one last final long ride with the Vintage Club last night.  Insurance is off today, and the 1314 project will be starting.  Bought the kit from derbybrit.  Anybody care to share their experiences with installing this kit?  There were no instructions included, was wondering how much material needs to be hogged out of the upper case.  A dremel job, or should I visit my friendly machinist.  Not planning on doing too much else with the engine, bottom end if needed, valves if needed.  Check out second gear while I am in there.  Should be fun, and a learning experience.

Cheers

Hans

Well, into the engine quite a bit.  Had the exterior all spotless, but it didn't matter.  Pulling the cylinders off, the rubber bushings on the cylinder studs had turned into granular matter, which ended up inthe bottom end.  At least i was going to pull that apart anyway, so it's just an extra cleaning job.  Looks like I'll have to replace the studs.
