Hepco & Becker Junior 30 vs Junior 40

Hey Gang! Picked up a resurrected 86 FJ1200 this winter and looking forward to Spring riding. Wanted to get the opinion of those who have experience with either the HB Junior 30s and 40s. I'm considering both sets and have the "Endro" option (1-30L and 1-40L) as well. Not sure I need 40L for commuting to work every day but wanted to hear from some of you road warriors. Will a large helmet fit into a 30L? Thanks!

nice looking FJ, how do you like that touring wind screen? I also have an 86 but with stock wind screen and I'm taller and catch a lot of wind at highway speeds, I'm thinking to get the touring screen.

Hey thanks, right back at you! Always loved the red and white FJs. The windscreen was done by the previous owner who was 6'3". He said it was like night and day as far as riding with the original. Highly recommended! I'm 5'9" and I love it!

I have the Junior 40L and the Junior Flash 30L bags.
A full face helmet will NOT fit into the 30L bags. A Bell Star helmet barely fits in the 40L bag.
With California and Utah as the only States that allow lane filtering, the 30L bags are much better in that environment. I prefer the 40L bags on the FJ. I purchased the 30L bags for use on my Hondas.
The all Black bags in the photo are the Junior 40L. The Black/Red bags are the Junior Flash 30L bags.
