Going to get a new windscreen for my 93 FJ as mine has been cracked from the day I bought it. The question is do I go taller or not. I'm 5' 9" and the stock wind screen seems to direct most of the wind right square into my helmet and on windy days it just beats the hell out of me at freeway speeds (80mph).
I bought a aftermarket fairing extension, used (off this website) that bolts on at the windscreen bolt holes. While this works great (almost to good - 100 degree days, no air flow, NOT good) I think it makes the bike look like sh**.
I have also thought about cutting the stock windscreen down to try getting a little cleaner airflow. Has anyone tried this?
Any thoughts about this would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

yes the cut down windscreen has been done by a few members with the results being your helmet sits in clean air.

makes for a very enjoyable ride   :good2:
