Does anyone have any info on rider to passenger intercoms?  It would be nice to be able to talk back and forth with my passenger.  I don't want anything real fancy or complex but something that would be loud enough to talk back and forth.  I have a pretty good hearing loss already so it has to be something that can get at least moderatly loud.  Something that is rechargable and doesn't run off the FJ electrical system.  We both wear full face helmets.  Any input would be appriciated.  I have looked at the Scala website for a start but that's about as far as I got.  Thanks.  Kevin.

I have been using the scala Q2 for 2 years ( bike to bike ) and other than the occasional "re-pairing" I cannot fault it. Battery good for 600 odd k,s of near constant chatter. On big rides now we take the chargers and give them a boost over lunch. Nobody seems to mind using their powerpoint.  Garmin Zumo and mobile phone are also bluetooth connected and can be prioritised in any order you want. I have only 80% hearing in one ear and even with earplugs I have the volume less than full. Although they never seem to first pick in comparisons in favour of some hardwired, wire connected thing I am at a loss to see how you could possibly improve on it. Voice activation works well, no background noise and plenty of volume. However, speaker placement in the helmet is criticle. I velcroed mine in so I could fine tune the positioning of them. Could not recommend the Q2 highly enough. The bonus is, they're relatively cheap.

Thanks Ribbert, anyone else out there want to throw in their two cents worth I'll keep checking back.  Andy as far as the intercourse goes, I'm sure there are some great stories out there but with my ever increasing age and loss of flexability I'm sticking with my king size pillow top or at least something semi soft and stationary!
