I've been seeing video's on youtube of a new generation of xjr1300 bikes. I've seen pictures that look like the old fj based engines, others show an air cooled engine that is similar but different barrels and heads. Another video shows a water cooled engine. Ive seen pictures of dual shocked bikes and monoshock bikes.displacements of 1298cc,1390cc,and 1398cc. Rear wheel horsepower ratings of 105, 128,and 142 . Naked bikes and faired bikes.
Does anybody have any accurate information on the new bike.
I would like to find out if the engines are fj based and could be modified to fit the fj frame.
Its confusing how there can be so many different bike videos claiming to be the new xjr1300.

A new (as in 2025) air cooled motor???  There's a reason almost all large ICE engines are water cooled these days.  At least those sold in developed countries.  Thanks your version of the EPA.....

I'm thinking there are a string of AI scam videos that have been produced and put on youtube. If you google 2024 or 2025 XJR1300 several videos come up describing various supposed versions of a new generation of XJR1300 . It doesn't make sense. One video descibes the flying Finn version a bike with 70's style fairings and twin shocks and a standard looking XJR motor. Another shows a girl sitting on a naked bike version with a water cooled engine and a monoshock. There are several videos. Google it yourself and you can see what I'm talking about. I think I've been had .

Unfortunately probably not true lots of manufacturers are killing off some good quality models because they can't meet the new Euro5 emissions standards. One example is the Super Tenere that Yamaha just discontinued, very disappointing. Unfortunately motorcycles in the near future will probably have to include turbo's to get a slight improvement on MPG's and they'll add the stupid start/stop technology and a bunch of other junk that makes the bike less reliable.
