Which way does the reserve switch work?

My 1992 FJ is missing the little plastic trim piece around the choke / reserve switch.  Since it's missing I can't work out which way the switch should be to change between reserve and main.

Is the front part down when on reserve, or do you switch it so the front part is up?   If anybody has a picture of the trim piece (or has the trim piece and wants to sell it to me!) that would be great.

Rocker switch: Top down is RES (reserve) Bottom down is ON

Normal: Leave it on ON....then switch to RES.when needed.

I tried to post a picture but the gallery is being fussy.

Cheers
