Hi Fairly New to Forum

Owned an 85 FJ brand new when i was young man

Sold it

39 years later bought another one

Issue is no turn signals

I once saw the orange right indicator light come on dash when i activated signal but only for a split second

Now i occassionaly hear a short buzz from relay on left side of fairing when using the switch on handlebars but no signals working at all..

I pulled the two wires from the connector (chocolate and chocolate with white stripe) hooked up a car flasher 2 prong and nothing.

Getting approx 11 volts on chocolate wire..

Can any one help me out ?

Thank you

Pat Conlon

Check fuse
Check grounds
Clean the contacts in the handlebar switch, lots of crap gets accumulated in there.
Jump the wires to bypass the handlebar switch to see if the problem lies there.

If no go, assume it's the flasher box. The self canceling turn signals have a connection to the odometer,(distance) see it that still working.

Welcome back to the FJ world.

If you need a wiring diagram, there is one in the back of the Owners Manual, see my signature line, you can down load one for free.

Thank you for the reply

Will try all steps you mention

Not sure about the self cancelling turn signals

I'm in Canada don't ever recall my original FJ  having  signals shut off by themselves

It does not matter how slowly I go as long as I do not stop.
