I swapped a whole 1992 FZR1000 USD front end into my FJ (but with early R1 blue dot calipers and a FZ1 brake master cylinder).

It was quick, easy and I love it.

The FZR trees use exactly the same pin (stem) as the FJ, so they fit straight in.

On the USD FZR front end swap, with (2001/2005) FZ1 risers and handlebars fitted, there's a little bit of work with a hand file (takes less than a minute) and to the lock stops, to fit the lot. The whole conversion from start to finish, involves no special tools, just a basic hand tools and a drill

Thanks Dean - you provided the solid answer on why use the FZR1000 yokes.

The width is correct for YZF600 wheel and brakes, and the offset and stem are both correct for the FJ1100/1200
