1992 Yamaha FJ1200

I purchased this Yamaha as my 2022/2023 winter project. I went through it entirely and drove it all last summer. This winter I took care of some cosmetic issues and it is not time to sell it on. The refresh included new tires, rear shock (YSS), rebuilt forks with improved dampers (RPM), all fluids replaced, new brake pads and braided lines, front fork brace, ceramic coated headers and repainted belly pan. I'm sure I forgot somethings. The bike runs very strong, and is incredibly comfortable on the highway but is a little in the heavy side. If you are not used to a large bike it will take some adjustment until you are comfortable on it. 35K Miles  $4000 firm.   I can deliver within 100 miles if you give me a ride home.  More pictures on request.

Thanks - but I've ridden a K100 once.  Absolutely did not like how it felt or handled.  For me it was a very bizarre experience.  Sad - because I liked them in the magazines back then.

OK:  Perhaps I scarred everybody by calling this a project bike.  It was a project bike to me, but was a running, insured, and on the road bike when I got it.  It was never stored, abused or left outside.  Since I purchased it in December, in Mass, it hadn't been ridden in a few weeks when I saw it but started right up.  It had most of the needs of every 30 year old Japanese bike I have seen (old tires, dead rear shock, scary brake lines and a lot of dirt.  All of that has been fixed now and it's ready to go.  Somebody please give it a good home.

Can you import your pictures into the Forum's gallery, then link your gallery pictures to your F/S posts?

All attempts to add pictures to the ad or to the gallery have failed multiple times. Any suggestions?

In the past I've had problems adding multiple pictures to the gallery, so I just add them one at a time.

If still a no go...send them to me and I'll add them from my end.
