Hi have a 1984 FJ1100. Have some mods done to it. Spent about 100 hours working on it since I got it 1 year ago. I think it's the 272 California model made as vin number ends with 272. Bike is too fast now or maybe I'm just too old but lots of fun

Yes have been an automotive tech for 30 years now. Currently work for Chrysler. Had several bikes years ago including FZR600 and TL1000R. Have ridden many bikes over the years. Currently have a 1982 Honda cb750 custom very clean with many polished parts got about 150 hours into that one. I learned how to ride motorcycles on one of these Hondas so it's nostalgic to me. I used to see the FJs around in my youth always thought it was an old man's bike. But now that I'm older it's perfect for me. I like bikes from early 80s era for many different reasons. Kinda like cars from mid 60s to mid 70s

My 84 FJ is in fact red/quarts. How did you know?  Didn't they also make red/white the first year?  Was wondering how many 84 California models were likely made? Maybe someone here knows?

Interesting looks like about 45 thousand 1984 FJ were made that first year. I got this bike about 1 year ago. Probably paid too much for it($2200). Was a total basket case. Rusty dirty cylinder 1 low compression. Took bike apart. Bought other set of carbs(mine were garbage/someone cracked a housing. Rebuilt the carbs with jet kit from rpm and ultrasonic cleaner. Then put 1250cc kit from rpm. Cleaned everything. Put rear shock linkage from a FJ1200(roller bearings not bushings) also hagon shock. Put rear chain and sprockets from rpm. Front suspension just put progressive brand spring and changed the oil. Also pirelli new demon tire. Cylinder head disassembled it and cleaned everything and put new valve seals and valve adjust shims. Fixed all electrical. Put new relay for turn signals. Recently did timing advance mod and coil mod add relay. Put new factory turn signals from Germany as I think they give the bike the right look. Bike has been a total money pit but I really like this bike for a number of ressons

I don't know or care about Apple junk.  I assume you have your pix on a real computer somewhere.

Type your post on the computer.  You may or may not need to hit the Preview button to continue.  Above the EmotIcons, there is a menu bar of options. If you have your pix on a web hosting site, click the INSERT AN IMAGE icon and put in the URL to your pix.  Click the PREVIEW button to see your pix, and POST.

Otherwise, you may be able to post your pix to the GALLERY here, then link to that URL.  I do not know if you can post pix to the gallery yet, but try to do that.  We maybe can help.

Ok finally figured out how to post a pic of my bike. Was a total PITA but I was able to do thru my iPhone.  Will be doing some work to bike this weekend. Nothing too crazy.

Can one of you guys just let me know if you actually see a pic of my bike above?  Anyways went on ride this weekend went to rock store and stunt road was great time. Bike was running great no problems.
