Today was a great day for a ride, Travis and I were in the middle of going to do a prerun of some rally roads
(nice roads). We were rolling :yahoo: at just that time I see a shiney thing running acrossed the gaurd rail of the bridge were about to go over. Suddenly Travises taillight is 12 inches higher than it's been all day and getting closer. He hits the shiney thing which ends up being 60 feet of fishing line w/lure and hook, not hooked to the pole anymore at this time (i'm sure it was). We stop untangle the thing wondering WTF this could have been bad .Has this ever happened to anyone else or we just lucky. Luckly we CAN joke about it.

And here I was feeling low for having to work and not being able to prerun with you fellas. Thanks for clearing that booby trap. And glad to hear everthing's A-OK. How far west did you get? Hoping to meet in the middle sometime before the rally!

Errol NH for about ten minutes and then SE it was getting late we didn't realize how far we were going to go.
I put 265 mi. today. Going to the kangamangas tomorrow with the wife and her friends, I'll try to remember the gopro. if you can come to NH, post on here and i'll use my wifes iphone to check up

That's somewhat odd.  Makes me wonder if it was done on purpose.

I haven't ever run across anything like that but I have had people throw things at me while riding.

ohh it was on purpose all right, i guess they didn't expect to see a motorcycle (i hope) i'm thinking 20 pound test line to the neck could have done some damage  :ireful:

i have had similar happen to me.

a pickup truck i was following had fishing poles in the bed... one of the lures had come loose and was following along behind the truck. He went around a corner and the lure caught the guardrail.... line instantly began feeding off the reel and i made a quick pass (with a horn toot and a gesture).

no self respecting fisherman wants to lose his tackle  :biggrin:

Many years ago, I caught a kite string across the throat.  Luckily it broke.  I don't know where the kid's kite ended up, I didn't stick around.
