Had a fantastic day with the FJ on display today with the Northants Section VJMC at the Founders Day Vintage Bike Rally at Stanford Hall.

Despite the dodgy weather that was forecast, I rode the bike there (with cleaning clothes and polished etc in my top box) and fortunately the roads were dry and the weather was great. There was a great crowd with a big Autojumble, Wall of Death and plenty of activities (pre 1965 trials bike displays, stunt riding, club parades etc). There were hundreds and hundreds of bikes, mostly very old British and Italian, but with plenty of stuff from Japan between the 60's and the very early 00's. The bikes were fantastic (both those on display of all brands, and those in the visitors parking area too) and the people were even better. Having plenty of interest in my FJ from the visitors helped too, especially the photojournalist (and ex FJ owner) who had a special interest in my FJ and took a load of notes about the bike and photographs for an article he was writing.  :good2: :good2:
