Well just got my second fj..  They say you can't kill an fj but I did..  I can tell you right now it beat the r6 and r1 and the Honda 600..  Love the fj's..  I try and relax on it and well, I feel I was put on this earth to prove 2 everyone this dynamite bike from yamaha has never been matched...  So I show them..
I had an r6, r1, I had Neil jakins old race bike that won the all time Canadian championship with..
And sold everything off but this new fj I just got..  last one was an 89 now this one an 86.. good shape,
3000 miles on it never been flipped i guess. Rides like a 3000 mile bike.
IT;s not all good, Having BIG problems with it.. Ill post today and see if any one can help..
Just 2 let everyone know, you CAN still order the 1984 and 1985 petcock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  it is still on the market.. 124.00 oem from yamaha. :-)

Welcome to the fire eh'. You will find this is a great group of folks with a ton of FJ knowledge. Dont worry your 3,000 mile bike can be as good as new and even better with a few easily affordable modifications. Once running properly they will keep you happy for years to come..
