Good evening everyone.

I've used the search box at the top right of the page and read everything I can find that comes up, but so far have found nothing about doing this swing arm swap  - even though I'm sure I've read about it somewhere on here.

Could anyone enlighten me on the "how to" or point me to right posts/threads on here get the low down. I have a spare 3CV swing arm that I can gift to a 3XW owner, with a corroded swing arm, if he can fit it.

TIA guys  :good2:

Not a problem Dean, it's plug and play, I've done this conversion to a couple of 3xw's  ('91-93's)
Because the shock is offset on the 3xw's you still use the 3xw relay arm which bolts up to the 3cv mounts on the swinger.

Of course, the '89/90 Aluminum swingers (dog bone style) is what you want to use.
The earlier 84-87's won't work due to the different linkage. (non dog bone)

I like the aluminum swingers better than the steel swingers.

Cheers lad

Thanks Pat, that's great info - looks like I can help someone else "upgrade" their corroded steelie to an ally  :good2:
