89 fork on 86

      Hi Everyone
    Will the axle from an 86 fit in the 89 fork and the 16 " tire ? I want to do the blue dot conversion. Or do I need the Axel from the 89 to do this
my head is spinning from information over load

You need a 17" rim to make it all work

Now will the bike run with a 17" rim on the front and a 16" on the back or do I need 17" on the rear ?
I'm going to buy new tires soon so should I wait and get 17 " for the rear also ? The  budget has to be done in stages

17"F & 16"R is what all the stockers ran  from 89 and later.

I'm on vacation using somebodies internet connection that fades in and out hard to access info and parts are available now
People still don't secure their internet no mater how much the software people advertise
