FJ1100 1985 Brake disc rotor

I'm thinking of changing the genuine disc that comes with it to an external product.
The genuine Ventilated Disc is 7.5mm thick, but most of the aftermarket drill draw rotors are only 5mm thick. Does it work without problems even with a 5mm disc?
