Funny you said that Pat, I already had a similar concept in mind. When I saw this post and thought, "I guess it was a good idea". Making it take two bikes is not adding too much complexity. The two tracks would need to be configurable. Not all pairs of bikes will work if the tracks are in a fixed position left to right.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

I'd outsource that one to my 19 year old mechanical engineer.  His last final for his BS is tomorrow.  But I think we are going to build a 10' plotter/cutter to help make new sails for the catamaran first.

...posts referring to fb links are not allowed for the exact reason ......links to fb are not accessable to non fb users.

Thanks for the explanation Randy, it's makes sense that members do this but as it's not a biggy, I would have thought encouragement would be enough, no need for the sternly worded threat, nor is it typical of conditions usually covered in a TOS, let alone threatening sanctions for non compliance (having the post deleted regardless of intent).

Anyway, it's your site, you're not bound by convention and you can do whatever takes your fancy with it. This may just be my opinion, but it's not a bad thing to take feedback on board sometimes.

If you have anymore questions regarding fb posts, please refer to the TOS found on the home page.

As for your suggestion above, what I posted was a verbatim quote, cut and pasted from the TOS! What you suggest I do is exactly what needed explaining. It doesn't say why it's prohibited, or why the penalties for doing so are so heavy handed. That is what I sought clarification on. On face value, it all seems a bit over the top.

Anyway, you have now explained your position and I understand.

Subject closed.

Thankyou
