Hey folks, I would like to add some info. to the files section.
Can you check your notes and let me know what the different lengths are of our oem shocks?
I know there are at least 2 different lengths (possibly 3) my '84 shock is longer than my '92 shock.

Thanks in advance.  Pat

How do you want them measured Pat?  (from where to where?)  My 89 OEM shock is sitting in a bin in my garage - easily accessable.

Center of bolt @ top eye to center of bolt @ bottom clevis, or in the case of 84/85 center of bolt @ bottom eye.

Thanks amigo....How many days???

Pat,

'91 on OEM rear shock & spring specs (measured)

Eye to clevis eye = 300mm
     If you're replacing wheel or want greater ride height you can use a shock that is longer.
     Up to about 20mm extra length you don't have to remove the centerstand.

Spring

ID = 58mm
OD = 83mm (why would you care?)
Free Length 182mm (used for about 20K miles)

Spring compression 20mm when loaded with 200Kg  therefore....
Spring Rate = 10kg/mm

My 1989 OEM shock is 11 3/8 inches center of eye-to-eye - or 289 mm.
