Uni filter problem

For last 3 years I used UNI foam filter, fitted in place of original one.
Last week  I installed Hiflofiltro replacement and my FJ respond to throttle is so much faster.

Could that be because of my generosity in foam oiling?

Yes - an over oiled filter is a very restrictive filter - kind of like water boarding for your bike...
