Undercut trans not shifting well

Splittin em is easy.  Putting it together is the hard bit  :blum1:

I know I`m a little late but when I did my engine I found that the transmision assembly is not a precision fit into the cases. There`s a slight bit of lateral play. Maybe 1mm? What I found is that if all the play is taken out one way or the other and then the cases are tightened down, the assembly is hard to turn by hand. Took two disassemblies to find that! If when the trans assemblies are laid in the cases slide the shafts laterally back and forth and settle on halfway in between so the shafts aren`t preloaded during assembly.
