How heavy is it?  Will it deploy the stand if you hit a sharp bump?

Nah. Weight is pretty negligible. Far less than anything steel I might have hung there.

Some have used Alum, at least one used a hockey puck and I used ABS. It may move under hard suspension use but at that point the bike is much lower and at worse it will kiss the ground before the spring pulls it back up.
