I recently had an incident while riding and decided that I needed a camera to record while riding. I came real close to T boning a car that turned left on me. I know that RPM does carry Sena products and am sure they can order these. I have seen some good reviews on the Sena 10c Evo. A big step up over the 10c Pro. The basic f unm nctions are on par with the standard 10s or 20s. It does not have the high end functions of the 30. The camera does feature 4K ability for video recording. I am still learning how to use this. Took a 245 mile ride today and did about a 25 minute video. I like that I don't have to add music through an edit program. It picks up the audio from streaming music via bluetooth from my phone.

Pardon the boring ride, but this is my every day playground. Also pardon not riding the FJ, it has a brake light issue that I am trying to work out.

Video was deleted for copyright issues. Gotta use YouTube's music list or you get censored.

I tried the helmet mounted stuff, and decided that dealing with charging wasn't worth it, so I went with a DDPAI Mini2 dashcam that I mounted behind the windshield, hardwired to switched power. It starts recording when I start the bike, and records continuously. It overwrites files as it goes, retaining about 8 hours of the latest data (32G microSD). It's 1080 HD, and also records sound. $46 on Amazon right now.  A video from the Hayfork WCR  I highly recommend it for anyone who commutes, or rides a lot and needs a camera. It doesn't interfere with my bluetooth for my phone, which I use for commuting with podcasts, music, or even television programming on the XFINITY app.

Do you know what's the biggest SD card it'll take?
Hardwired is Good, no messing around with charging

I have used and recommend this Bullet HD Camera.
http://www.roadhawkdownunder.com/store/p19/Roadhawk_Ride_R__.html
I own three of them, one mounted facing rear on my FJ and one facing rear on my R1200RS.
The other is mounted to my helmet.

A forward facing hard wired camera is really convenient and offers great coverage for insurance pourposes, but the helmet mounting gives a more "Natural" feel and in my opinion, is the better option for "Travel Video."

Using the optional 2500mah battery gives about 150min of video.
As stated by Rick, 32gig gives about 8hrs of HD video.
You can also set the software to invert the image, allowing the camera to be mounted inverted, as on my RS.

Apologies Fred, didn't mean to hijack your thread. There are limitations to the hard mounted camera. I cannot direct its field of view the way you could on a helmet, and the audio recording is very poor. I like the ability of a helmet cam to record where you look, and to stay with you in the event you are separated from the bike, as you might be in a crash, or maybe an altercation with someone. The compromise is that I have very clear wide angle recording of everything in front of me, which should cover almost every traffic concern for court purposes, and it requires no interaction from me. I just have to make sure any altercations take place in front of the bike.  :wacko3:

Sparky - I think my older model will accept up to 64g, but as Fred indicated, 128g is pretty common now.

I've got a motorcycle dashcam fitted with front and rear cameras, turn key on and recording starts, waterproof cams, loop video etc.  Video quality is ok but sound is terrible.

Just a slight deviation on the subject here. My Son has just given me a demo of the image stabilisation on the GoPro hero 8. For years these cameras have just had tweaks here and there for sake of new models but this feature is an absolute cracker, it bumps them up into a whole new league of video camera.
They have other improved features as well. We have a couple of older versions so a side by side comparison was conducted.

If anyone is sitting on the fence with one of these, this model would be the one to pull the trigger on.

They are overkill for "dashcams", but if you're looking for high quality video, they are certainly worth considering.

On another slight deviation on the subject, we have bought a mic to record engine and exhaust sound separately which is synced on the computer when editing and because it's a separate track, the volume can adjusted at whim. I have seen examples of and it's perfect - NO WIND NOISE.  I will report back when we give it a run.
My FJ needs repairs at the moment that I'm physically unable to carry out so it might be a little while yet, but the YouTube vids are excellent.
