Dunno.. Might be hoot to drive.

Nope, not for me...not enough poop for a steel body car.... a glass body Thunder Roadster will be lighter, faster.

Now, put a Honda K24A2 in that little guy and make the Porsche guys cry.

That is a legends car chassis, with some added bracing with a Honda body. Can't weigh much more than a roadster. The legends cars are 1300 with driver and the roadster is 1500 with driver so it is probably very similar.

Pat Conlon

The Honda is 1500 without driver.

Still very similar. A few roadster guys are pushing over 1600 lbs. Got a couple 6'7+ big boys running them. At 180 lbs my roadster shits about 1530 with 1 gallon of fuel. Nothing to do to lighten them up, that is legal per the rule book. Spec wheels, shocks, and everything else. Hell they DQ'd a guy a few years ago for sanding the inside of the fiberglass body to remove some weight. I think most of the weight on that thing comes from the bigger fuel cell, if that is wet weight, and from additional bracing. There is a lot of extra tubing on that chassis compared to the legends car chassis.

Thanks Robert, I didn't know the roadsters were heavier than the legends.
Makes sense now that you explained the chassis differences.

Cheers
