Motofun,

Yep, exactly! I'm self taught over the past 3 years, and I always made sure to read and understand the fix/repair I'm attempting to make before I begin. I'll tell you what. I have accumulated a very large amount of specialty tools over the years from doin my own work, but man is it satisfying. Recently spent $30 bucks on an Engine Sprocket/Pulley Holder. Never thought I'd own one of those! I have a Clymer Manual for my 1980 KZ440, and it is bookmarked to hell. Helps me out though for quick references!

Riders,

I borrowed a trick from an old 'way-aftermarket VW workshop manual.  Print out the pages you need from the manual for any job you will start, and put each a page into page-protectors.  Keep them all in a three-ring binder, and soon you will have a chapter for each job you did, for present and future use.  You can also include pages from other parts of the manual in each chapter, such as panel removals or torque specs, instead of flipping endlessly throughout the book for that stuff.  You can put two pages into each page protector, back-to-back, so it reads just like a printed book.  No greasy computers, no cross-references to other sections, and only what you need for the job.

Works for me.
.
Cheers,
Red

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

I have it on very good authority that the 1100 manual is supported in this manual as well.

Picked up this manual for a spare and can confirm seller did not know what he was talking about. Like I thought it covers all years, 1100 through ABS. He simply didn't open it up and look.
