Do you have an oil temp gauge? It is possible with such a big cooler the oil could run too cold.

That looks nice. Running to cold? I have never had that problem with my FJ with 1314 kit and good compression.....it still gets hot (have a Shindy digital temp gauge and large Earl's cooler).

I'd like to point out that those high-pressure stainless steel braided hoses and fittings sure look pretty, but they really aren't necessary. The oil pump in an FJ is actually two pumps stacked on top of each other. The small pump sucks oil out of the sump, routes it to thru the filter and then on to the engine. The larger pump sucks oil out of the sump, sends it to the cooler and then dumps it right back into the sump. So there is very little pressure in that system.  Sure... you can use those gorgeous (and expensive) aircraft fittings but don't go crazy trying to find some super-high-pressure hoses.

And a word of caution... we use a lot of that stainless braided hose on aircraft. And we call it "band-saw hose." Because if it rubs against anything, it will quickly cut right thru whatever it is touching. If you use it, make sure it is well clamped in place.
