Happy Father's Day to all the FJ owners dads out there.

I hope everyone can get out for a ride before the evening BBQ.

As many of you know,  I wasn't able to attend the 2019 WCR due to work commitments.

So,  my wife & I as well as Robert and his wife went to Napa to ride the Napa Valley Wine Train for Father's Day.

It was a beautiful evening riding the rails, eating a wonderful dinner and enjoying some great wines.

Then on Sunday morning,  I got a surprise,  that Robert and I would be going down to San Francisco to watch the SF Giants play ball.  So Robert and I went south and the girls stayed in the Napa area for the day.

Robert and I got to the game about an hour before it started and got to our seats.  It was a overcast and cool late morning.

Robert went up to grab beer and some grub.  I was sitting in my seat,  when much to my surprise,  my youngest son Ryan arrived.  He brought with him my two nephews as well.

Austin is the youngest son of my brother in law who was killed several years ago on his motorcycle on the way to my house for dinner.  He is an adult and recently home from his service in the Army
Unfortunately,  with his dad gone and his brother still serving in the Navy,  the only thing for him here is our family. He's doing well and is working as an apprentice in the pipe fitter union.

My other nephew, Logan is just 8 years old and lost his father last year. He was being raised by his dad and my mother in law.  With is dad gone,  he is now spending a ton of time with us.  He is playing baseball for the first time this year in the Junior Giant Little League program.  So for him to attend his first major league and a Giants game was very special.

It brought tears to my eyes when I saw my two boys and my two nephews together for Father's Day; we were all together even though my nephews have both have recently lost their fathers.

I sent my dad a few texts telling him Happy Father's Day.  He responded back with one text that also brought tears to my eyes. He said I make him very proud,  as a son,  a father and a mentor to my nephews.

I hope everyone had a great Father's Day, I know I did.

Sounds like you had an AWESOME Father's Day. :drinks:

I did get to ride......................but not Motorcycles.

I took my two boys to Glenwood Canyon, and we rode the Bike-Path that runs along the Colorado River underneath I-70.
Part of it was closed due to the high river level. It is flowing fast and strong through there!
The boys had a blast, and both thanked me for taking them on a "bicycle adventure" as Jacob called it.

Yes,  he is rebelling with his hair...four years of shaving his head wasn't his idea of fun...
