Hello chaps, sorry for the lack of attendance since my initial post, I've been locked in the garage working on the bike. More a case of bringing it back from the dead! Can't beat rescuing a bike that would otherwise have gone to the breakers. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement throttle cable for the old Hector. A 1990 FJ1200 with the throttle cable split with a plastic jointing piece under the tank. Can't find one anywhere, I need the closing cable from the joint piece to the carb. Cheers

Good looking for a beast. I got a spare throttle cable set from RPM so Rick is spot on for a good source. Randy and Robert are great with OEM parts, After Market parts, Custom FJ parts, service is top notch.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Cheers for the replies. I'll check the rpm dudes out. The bike is getting there. (looks good from a distance!) It's only had 2previous owners and had the oil and filter changed every 3000 miles! Got 3 weeks to go before my Scotland trip. Currently rebuilding the forks. Seals were shot and a spring was snapped! Got some Hyperpro ones. Off in the garage now........... I live there! Thanks again
